I am Dancing Lotus. Dance is the one place on this earth where my mind, body and spirit have always been able to connect. Spirtuality has always been a huge part of my life and the lotus flower is a symbol of this work for me. One day I was outside for a walk when I was graced with the name Dancing Lotus, and with much gratitude I accepted.

My spiritual path started with my family tradition of being Catholic. I learned a lot with this foundation, but once I was confirmed I was ready to learn more about what the world religions had to offer me. So, I studied as much as possible: Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, etc. One day a very close friend came over and gave me the book, Idiots Guide to Paganism, and told me he thought of me as he read it. I was very surprised, because I knew nothing about paganism. As I read the book, I was amazed to find that there was a name for my natural practices and that there was an entire community out there of similar thinking people.

I can remember reflecting on if I was a witch, and nothing had ever felt so right. So, I put out to the universe that if this path was meant for me, that it would reveal itself. Before I knew it I was introduced to some amazing people, who I found out were also witches. These women became my teachers, friends, and to my surprise told me they were my students as well.

I truly believe in the Reclaiming Tradition's Principles of Unity, and I strive to live by these principles each moment of my life.
